The Cohos Trail and Northern Pass

How would the Northern Pass transmission line impact the Cohos Trail and our experience of its deep wilderness?

Short term, the solitude and peacefulness of the Cohos Trail deep wilderness would be lost during construction (think: helicopters, heavy construction vehicles, blasting …).

Long term, the unspoiled views we adore and yearn for, the soothing power they have on our souls, minds and overall well being will be lost forever.

Take a look:

My apologies for the blurry words in the right photo. I’ll try to fix that when I have time.

Hopefully the New Hampshire Site Evaluation Committee (SEC) has the foresight to protect North Country and our beloved trails and scenic views, from the Northern Pass archaic ugly transmission line.

What to do? Public comments to the NH SEC are now closed but the SEC begins public deliberations on January 30th. You can attend the deliberations in Concord and/or contact Governor Sununu, as soon as possible, and ask him to change his mind. His voice can make a difference. Please see No To Northern Pass Facebook page for more action information.
